Due to unplayable field conditions at the Blaine National Sports Center Stadium, The Wind Chill have relocated their home opener this upcoming Saturday to Sea Foam Stadium in St. Paul, located on the campus of Concordia University. The game will begin at 6:00pm as originally scheduled versus the Chicago Wildfire. Gates will open at 5:00pm. The field and turf crew at Concordia University have been putting in long hours to clear the playing surface and stands to make this relocation a possibility. The forecast currently calls for temperatures in the low 50s, and calm winds, for Saturday evening in St. Paul.
"Despite the rough stretch of weather and snow, we are excited to kick the season off as planned this weekend," said General Manager Ben Feldman. "We held several games at Sea Foam Stadium last year, and are looking forward to the high energy atmosphere that our fans delivered game after game last season."
With the venue change, the official post-game party has been relocated to Surly Brewing Company, located just down from Sea Foam Stadium on University Ave.
Single game tickets are available for sale online for Saturday's game vs. the Chicago Wilfire. You can save money by purchasing your tickets in advance online (will call pick-up).
