With over 20 years of experience in the medical field and more than 25 locations in the state of Minnesota, NovaCare provides preventative and rehabilitative services that maximize functionality and promote well-being. They provide athletic training services and physical & occupational therapy for athletes of all levels

“We look forward to another year of growing our partnership with the Wind Chill,” said Mr. Donn Berkeland, Vice President of Minnesota Operations. “This highly competitive AUDL team will benefit from the sports rehabilitation expertise of our athletic trainer and rehabilitation clinicians. We have a team approach to care, and will work to ensure the players stay safe, healthy and on the field for every game possible,” said Berkeland.

Kelly Flynn - Certified Athletic Trainer - NovaCare

Kelly Flynn, the head Certified Athletic Trainer from NovaCare assigned to the Wind Chill, will be supporting the team at each of their six home games this season, in addition to their two tryout dates on Sunday, February 3rd, and Sunday, February 10th. Kelly brings more than 25 years of experience as an athletic trainer to the Wind Chill sideline, working with athletes from the high school level, all the way up to the professional level, during her training career. She has been with NovaCare since 1990, and has spent time working with both the Minnesota Thunder and US Soccer.

Jenny Gaynor - Physical Therapist - NovaCare

Jenny Gaynor, Physical Therapist at NovaCare, is based out of NovaCare’s Edina office and brings a plethora of knowledge and background in the sport of Ultimate to the patients and athletes that she treats. Jenny started playing Ultimate at UW-Madison in 2008, where she competed with Bella Donna in the College Division. She continued competing within the Club Division after graduating in 2011, and most recently won back to back Women’s Masters National Championships with the Surly C.O.U.G.A.R.S. Her deep understanding of the typical body strain and required movements in the sport make her an invaluable resource to any local athlete looking to return to the Ultimate field following an injury. Similar to Kelly, Jenny will also be involved with the Wind Chill throughout the season, offering her expertise and therapy services to the rostered Wind Chill players to help prevent and treat injuries as they occur.
