Wind Chill Host First Divisional Championship


ST. PAUL, Minn. (August 1, 2023) - The Minnesota Wind Chill of the American Ultimate Disc League (AUDL) will host the team’s first Central Divisional Championship on Saturday, August 12, at Sea Foam Stadium in St. Paul, Minn. Coming off a franchise-best 10-2 regular season, the Wind Chill will face off against the Indianapolis AlleyCats who defeated the Chicago Union 23-15 in round one of the AUDL Playoffs. Opening pull is at 6:00 p.m. CT, with the winner claiming the Central Division title and advancing to the 2023 AUDL Championship Weekend at TCO Stadium in nearby Eagan, Minn. 

Expecting a record-setting crowd, the gameday experience will feature fun for the whole family, including food and ice cream trucks, a specialty beer garden, face painting and balloon art, and much more. In addition, the Minnesota Disc Dog Club will be performing their acclaimed high-flying show during halftime. Legendary KARE 11 sports anchor and media personality Eric Perkins will also present the ceremonial opening pull before both squads take the field. The Wind Chill swept the two-game season series with the AlleyCats, averaging 22.5 points per game, and look to become the first team since 2018 to qualify for AUDL Championship Weekend in their home region.

Tickets are also on sale for the 2023 AUDL Championship Weekend at TCO Stadium in Eagan, Minn. on August 25-26, 2023. Single game, weekend and VIP tickets are available for two semifinal games on Friday, August 25, and the AUDL Championship game on Saturday, August 26. Opening pull for the first semifinal game on Friday will be 6:00 p.m. ET, with the second game immediately following at 8:30 p.m. ET. The 2023 title game will begin at 7:00 p.m. ET on Saturday.
