Growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, Matt Gubernick first learned about and started playing ultimate at Jacobs High School. He then went on to play college ultimate with DePaul Ultimate Club (DUC) here in Chicago. Since college, he has spent time playing club ultimate with teams in both the open and mixed divisions.
