Garrett grew up in Middletown Connecticut and started playing frisbee in high school. He played a multitude of sports growing up but gravitated toward frisbee as he got older. He played for Connecticut Colt for many years as well as playing the inaugural audl season with the Connecticut Constitution. he later moved to California where in 2019 he started playing with the LA aviators and was awarded best pulls in the West in 2021 and 2022.
