The American Ultimate Disc League (AUDL) is excited to bring professional quality youth ultimate frisbee programming to boys and girls across North America. Our week-long AUDL All-Star Camps offer kids the opportunity to learn the game of ultimate from some of the best players in a safe, professional environment. In 2019, the league will run a series of camps organized by our newly hired Director of Camps & Clinics Matt Smith, as well as support from local male and female players. Register today!
AUDL All-Star camps will run for five days, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. The first six camps will be offered in San Jose, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and New York, Indianapolis, and Kansas City.
Matt Smith started playing ultimate at Colby College in 2007. His professional career includes playing for the Rhode Island Rampage in the inaugural year of the AUDL in 2012. He has been a member of the Atlanta Hustle since 2015, and was selected as a part of the All-AUDL Second Team in 2016.
Matt’s interest in youth ultimate began during his time working as Executive Director for the Atlanta Flying Disc Club (AFDC). His work there was broadly focused on developing Atlanta’s growing youth ultimate scene: responsibilities included commissioning several high school ultimate leagues, managing both boys and girl’s middle school recreational leagues, leading demonstrations and clinics at multiple local elementary schools, and organizing multiple youth tournaments including the State Championships.
Matt believes both in the sport of ultimate and the power of its unique community. He hopes to spread the game of ultimate as far and as wide as possible by helping youth develop their love of the game, regardless of where they are in their ultimate journey.
