The Minnesota Wind Chill Foundation Introduces New Grant Opportunities and Programs to Empower Youth
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Saint Paul, MN – After a successful inaugural grant cycle this spring granted $14,000 to the community, the Minnesota Wind Chill Foundation is proud to announce a significant increase in their community investment and two new grant opportunities to support the growth and development of middle school and high school ultimate frisbee programs across the state. These grants aim to remove barriers to entry and empower new and existing school-based programs by providing both Professional Ultimate Frisbees and monetary support.
Applications are now open for fall semester grants up to $1,000 per school for October 1 - December 31, 2025 and year-long grants up to $3,000 per school for October 1, 2025 - June 15, 2026. The Foundation invites students, teachers, parents, administrators, coaches, and other school supporters to apply by Friday, September 19, 2025 at 11:59 p.m.
The Foundation is also thrilled to introduce two new programs this year:
-
Guest Coaching Team Visits
-

These additions join a growing list of youth-focused initiatives from the Foundation including:
-
Grants for Minnesota Youth Teams
-

“Our goal as we continue to listen to the needs of our community is to introduce programs that make a meaningful and immediate impact,” said Steve Sabes, President of the Minnesota Wind Chill Foundation. “These two new grant opportunities and two new programs are a direct result of what we’ve heard from our community and what we believe will continue to break down barriers to youth participation and provide more meaningful opportunities for youth to engage with ultimate frisbee.”
