OCTOBER 10 — Today the AUDL announced their 2017 season awards following last week's MVP announcement, with Peter Graffy and Kevin Pettit-Scantling being nominated to the 2017 All-AUDL Defense Team. It is the second straight season Graffy has been named one of the league's seven best defenders, while Pettit-Scantling is making his first appearance on the All-AUDL squad. In his fourth season as a Radical, Graffy registered 27 blocks, good for fifth in the league. He won Defensive Player of the Week honors for his July 1 performance (5 blocks) in a critical late-season win over Minnesota.

A member of the Radicals' vaunted defense since their inaugural season in 2013, Pettit-Scantling registered a career-high 27 blocks in 2017. He was also a Steel Spirit award winner, playing all 14 games for the league's best defense.
