Radicals Set to Return to the Field in June

May 20, 2021

After more than 600 days without playing a game, the Madison Radicals will return to the field this summer. The 2021 AUDL schedule has officially been announced; the Radicals will play a 12-game regular season from June to August, with the potential for playoff games in September. Home opener is Friday, June 4 at 7:00 PM/CT at Breese Stevens Field against the Minnesota Wind Chill

The Radicals enter the 2021 season playing in the new Central Division, following the AUDL’s divisional realignment. They’ll match up with Chicago, Detroit, Indianapolis, and Minnesota throughout the season.

With 92 all-time wins, the Radicals will look to be the first team to hit the 100-win mark this season. However, they are coming off a 2019 season where they failed to finish above .500 for the first time in franchise history. It’s been eight years since they’ve entered the season as an underdog; with a new chip on their shoulder, they’ll look to reclaim their division title in 2021.
