Power Rankings: Week 6

June 3, 2026
By Adam Ruffner

We’ve got new leaders in the pole position of the rankings for the first time this year, and probably a few weeks late. Boston is still very much defending their UFA title, but the Spiders have shown themselves to be the crown of the 2026 class as we near 50 percent completion on the regular season schedule.

THE BACK 12

  • Pittsburgh ended a five-game skid dating back to the end of last June with their sudden death victory to claim the Commonwealth Cup. 22-year-old Reid Duncan has been Fairfax-ian with his receiving production in two starts this season, including four goals and 455 receiving yards in Philadelphia. The T-Birds defense is still a work in progress, but the team is lurking just outside the top 10 in scoring thanks to their inconsistent-but-sometimes zappy offense.

  • With back-to-back losses at home to divisional titans DC and Boston, Toronto backed out of the top 10 following last week’s debut. The individual playmaking is still there across both lines, but as a team the Rush committed a whopping 66 turnovers combined during their Week 6 homestand, and converted just 22-of-34 (65 percent) inside the red zone. Their next two games feature winnable matchups against interdivisional competition in Pittsburgh and Oregon, but those are virtually must-win matchups for a Rush team that has Seattle, Montreal, New York, and Indy to close out their regular season schedule.

  • What a difference a couple offensive starters can make for the entire look of an O-line. Indianapolis returned Elliot Hawkins, who promptly set a modern passing record with 15 assists in his season debut and unlocked a deep game the AlleyCats were desperate to get off the ground in their first two games (both losses) of the year; on his own, Hawkins more than doubled the team’s huck completions from their Week 4 loss against Minnesota, tossing eight on the night against Chicago. Similarly, Quinn Finer finally returned from injury to suit up for Colorado and lit it up in the Rockies, registering a 300/300 passing and receiving yard performance while completing 28-of-29 throws and throwing five assists. The Apex have had moments of some true offensive motion, and now they finally have their world-caliber centerpiece to lead the attack. The ‘Cats could really put the Central Division on tilt if they keep their momentum rolling in Minnesota this coming Saturday, and Colorado still has an outside path at returning to the playoffs for the fourth time in five seasons.

  • Seattle looked like they might give the Sol their first loss of the season with their 14-12 lead at halftime on Sunday. But the Cascades got outscored 13-6 over the final two frames of action, with the dual forces of fatigue and inexperience derailing their Texas two-fer. Garrett Martin is completing a career-best 97 percent of his throws this season, and he’s on pace for his fourth straight season with at least 60 combined scores (assists plus goals) during the regular season.

THE TOP 10

10. Madison Radicals (+1)
Record: 2-1
Last result: 23-20 (L) vs Minnesota
Next game:June 5 at Chicago
Team stats: 52.6% offensive success rate (11th) / 6.3 break scores per game (11th) / 15.0 turnovers per game (6th)

Even though it was another loss to Minnesota at home—that makes eight wins in their last nine trips to Breese Stevens for the Wind Chill—the Radicals offense had their best performance against a non-Mechanix defense since 2022. It’s especially impressive consider the Wind Chill D-line looked historically good coming into the Week 6 matchup, and only mustered four break scores against Madison. Madison’s spread attack relies on team speed and quick decision making, and the new throwing core led by (my) “Most Improved” frontrunner for 2026 Nico Ranabhat, who is absolutely on fire to start the season and is averaging 4.7 scores, 40 completions (97.5 percent), and 476 total yards per game through three starts. Add Pieran Robert as another “line switch” convert to the growing list of top performers this season, as the former defensive standout has found a new and productive home running deep routes alongside Anthony Gutowsky.

9. Atlanta Hustle (-1)
Record: 3-4
Last result: 26-21 (L) vs Carolina
Next game: June 12 vs Houston
Team stats: 54.6% offensive success rate (9th) / 8.7 break scores per game (8th) / 14.7 turnovers per game (4th)

The Hustle exit their three-game series (and back-to-back losses) with the Flyers with their first losing record in June since 2019. And for a team that perennially places within the top four in the league in turnovers per game, Atlanta is coming off their most turnovers in a two-game stretch since 2022, coincidently the last time this franchise missed the postseason. The added complexity of their sudden issues with turnovers is the fact that the Hustle cannot seem to stop opposing defenses from punching in breaks—Carolina was a perfect 12-for-12 on break opportunities last Saturday—and are allowing opponents to convert nearly 57 of their break chances; the seven teams allowing a higher opponent D-line success rate than Atlanta have just five wins combined. Hopefully a week off and a non-Flyers opponent can get the Hustle back on track, otherwise they’re in for a long final three games against top offenses in Carolina, Austin, and DC.

8. Salt Lake Shred (+1)
Record: 3-1
Last result: 34-17 (W) vs Oregon
Next game: June 5 vs Colorado
Team stats: 60.2% offensive success rate (4th) / 9.8 break scores per game (T-5th) / 17.0 turnovers per game (10th)

The Shred’s second big win this season against the Steel now makes it nine straight home wins for Salt Lake since they fell to Seattle in the 2024 West Division title matchup. Salt Lake generated more blocks (13) than turnovers (11), and the D-line tallied double digit breaks for the third time in four games in 2026. The real impressive part of the Shred win, though, wasn’t the discrepancy on the scoreboard, but rather Salt Lake’s ability to manufacture 21 looks at the red zone, and convert on 20 of them. Jordan Kerr’s sit-down forehand throw from the left third of the field remains as bankable of a scoring option as there is in the association.

7. Austin Sol (-)
Record: 5-0
Last result: 25-20 (W) vs Seattle
Next game: June 5 at San Diego
Team stats: 61.9% offensive success rate (3rd) / 10.8 break scores per game (4th) / 15.8 turnovers per game (7th)

Even with Kyle Henke and Evan Swiatek coming out the gates with some jaw-dropping highlights, it took a few quarters for the Sol to settle in before they extended their winning streak to five games. The Sol haven’t committed more than 17 turnovers in a game this season, making them not just one of the stingiest but most consistent performing squads in the UFA. And yet there’s still some questionable decision making holding them back from the top spots on this list, especially given the caliber of defenses they’ve faced so far. Austin is excellent on the far ends of the field, but between the 20 yard lines they sometimes get foggy or jumbled in their execution, particularly with swings. Their upcoming California road trip this weekend will be their first test in 2026 outside the state of Texas. Will the bubble pop, or will the Sol continue to shine?

6. DC Breeze (-)
Record: 5-2
Last result: 23-17 (W) at Montreal
Next game: June 5 vs Carolina
Team stats: 53.7% offensive success rate (10th) / 8.4 break scores per game (9th) / 16.4 turnovers per game (9th)

The DC defense saved the day once again in both of their matchups north of the border, including a 6-0 frame in the fourth quarter in their comeback stunner in Montreal. Second year standout Tanner Gesell is playing like an All Defense First Teamer after making just two part-time appearances in 2025, and is third in the league in blocks after a month of play. But the real storyline for the Breeze has been the emergence of Miles Grovic into true, all-around stardom now that the young phenom is finally healthy. The Maryland product has been a monster in open space for the past few seasons as a defender, thrower, and poster-maker for all those who dare to challenge him in the air. But in Week 6, Grovic finally settled into a full-time throwing role and produced a career night against Montreal that included nine assists and 360 passing yards, both personal bests.

5. Carolina Flyers (-)
Record: 5-1
Last result: 26-21 (W) at Atlanta
Next game: June 5 at DC
Team stats: 57.7% offensive success rate (6th) / 11.0 break scores per game (3rd) / 15.8 turnovers per game (8th)

Following a few seasons of relative mediocrity when it came to producing breaks, including in 2025 when the Flyers ranked 11th in breaks per game, Carolina now possesses the best counterattack East of Oakland. Veterans Cooper Williams and Suraj Madiraju are the anchors for the unit, but everyone on the D-line is contributing with nine different Flyers players* averaging at least one block per game. Offensively, the team has two of the most desirable playmakers in existence leading the charge with Jacob Fairfax and Tobias Brooks, soon to be joined by 2026 Callahan winner Zeke Thoreson in his season debut this Saturday. This team is playing so well and balanced, it’s almost a side note that last year’s assists leader Allan Laviolette has been sidelined since May 16.

* Tied for the most amount of players this season

4. New York Empire (-)
Record: 4-1
Last result: 34-11 (W) vs Pittsburgh
Next game: June 5 at Boston (Friday Night Frisbee)
Team stats: 74.% offensive success rate (1st) / 11.6 break scores per game (2nd) / 10.2 turnovers per game (1st)

The Empire became the first team this season to register two different 30-goal games after their demolition of the Thunderbirds last Friday. It was also the third time already in 2026 that New York tied a season-low with just eight total turnovers, furthering their campaign as “the most efficient offense ever” with an O-line now flirting with an unfathomable 75 percent success rate; since their double overtime loss to DC on May 10, the Empire are now 40-of-51 (78 percent) on offensive possessions during their current three-game winning streak. And now they add Daan De Marrée, an international sensation and the number two scoring threat in the league last season. Friday’s game against Boston cannot come soon enough, as it will be a true matchup of an unstoppable force (New York’s blistering offense) and an unyielding object (Boston’s seemingly impenetrable defense led by a former Empire MVP).

3. Minnesota Wind Chill (-)
Record: 4-0
Last result: 23-20 (W) at Madison
Next game: June 6 vs Indianapolis
Team stats: 57.3% offensive success rate (7th) / 9.8 break scores per game (T-5th) / 12.3 turnovers per game (2nd)

The defense has been the headline for this team’s successes for years, and yet in 2026 the primary factor for this Wind Chill team’s undefeated start has been their blistering offense. Minnesota has decreased their turnover total in successive games, culminating in a season-low eight in Madison on Sunday while going 9-of-10 on hucks. Gordon Larson has slowly assumed primary passing responsibilities, allowing for more freedom not just for Will Brandt to engage as a receiver, but giving more fluidity to the whole unit. Noah Coolman’s feels subdued compared to his electric defensive playmaking, but his mobility and precision in his first few starts with the team has been essential to Larson’s evolution and the team’s rapidly increasing efficiency and tempo. The elements prior to Week 6 felt like gas, and the addition of Nate De Morgan was the match to really gets things ignited for a deep playoff run. Suddenly, it feels like the once questionable Wind Chill attack has the horses to run with Oakland in their upcoming game.

2. Boston Glory (-1)
Record: 5-0
Last result: 18-16 (W) at Toronto
Next game: June 5 vs New York (Friday Night Frisbee)
Team stats: 60.0% offensive success rate (5th) / 9.4 break scores per game (7th) / 14.8 turnovers per game (5th)

Boston has had some bruising battles in Canada in recent seasons, but another block-filled defensive showing sealed the hard fought Week 6 road win in Toronto. The Glory now have 33 blocks in just their last two games, with Jeff Babbitt finishing Sunday with a game-high four takeaways to reach the 200-block milestone for his career. Lander Decraene now has a block in all five games as a pro, and trails only younger brother Tobe for the team lead in scores. But there’s either fatigue or a lack of focus starting to show at the edges for the champs, as they’ve amassed 44 turnovers in their last two games as well, which is quite the turnaround from the 16-total-turnovers they posted over their first two wins of 2026. The reigning champs can struggle at times to create separation from opponents because of their methodical approach to possessions and the limiting factor that has on scoring, which might be a problem this coming Friday against a New York offense that is simply not making mistakes.

1. Oakland Spiders (+1)
Record: 6-0
Last result: 23-17 (W) vs San Diego
Next game: June 6 vs Colorado
Team stats: 62.7% offensive success rate (2nd) / 12.9 break scores per game (1st) / 13.8 turnovers per game (3rd)

The new occupiers of the regular season throne, the Spiders finally won a game by fewer than 10 goals, and dropped their average margin of victory all the way down to (checks notes) 11.6 goals per game at the midway mark of their schedule. Oakland is such a two-way force that they’re on pace to have the 10th highest offensive success rate in league history, and the second highest break rate, in the same year. The Spiders roster the current league leaders in goals (Daniel Ritthaler) and blocks (Carter Lankford), and a league-best eight different Oakland players are completing at least 20 passes per game, which speaks to the kind of teamwork and fiber-optic connection the Spiders are enjoying. They’ve got a re-energized Colorado team on deck before squaring off against Minnesota in Oakland in just nine days.
