24. Vegas Bighorns (-)
Record: 0-11
Last result: 33-13 (L) vs Colorado
Next game: July 20 at Los Angeles
The Bighorns surrendered 30 or more goals for the third straight game, and for the fourth time overall this season; the 2018 Mechanix were the last team to give up 30 or more in three consecutive games. As a result of opponents’ recent scoring sprees, Vegas now both scores the least and allows the most goals per game in the UFA. Hats off to rookies AJ MacIsaac and Sam Besse as the only Bighorns players with at least 100 completions and at least a 90 percent completion rating.
23. Detroit Mechanix (-)
Record: 1-9
Last result: 25-18 (L) at Indianapolis
Next game: July 19 at Chicago
Gunslinger Jake Felton tied a career high with 11 throwaways in the Mechanix loss at Indianapolis, and now his throwaway total for the year (55) has surpassed his assists (50). He joins elite throwers Allan Laviolette and Austin Taylor as the only current players with back-to-back 50 assist seasons, but Felton now ranks 49th all-time in throwaways (136) in just 21 career games. That’s just six throwaways fewer than Taylor has in his career, and in nearly 80 fewer starts.
22. Indianapolis AlleyCats (-)
Record: 3-8
Last result: 25-18 (W) vs Detroit
Next game: July 19 vs Pittsburgh
The ‘Cats got their third win of the season in Week 12, and completed their season sweep of the Mechanix. Indy also remained undefeated at home all-time against Detroit since the two teams began battling in 2012. Second year hybrid Cole Hyzer is still calibrating his play, but he’s shown bright spots as a long range thrower and playmaker without the disc; Hyzer is one of just 12 players so far this season with at least 30 scores and 10 blocks.
21. Los Angeles Aviators (-3)
Record: 2-9
Last result: 20-13 (L) at Austin
Next game: July 20 vs Vegas
LA battled neck-and-neck through the first six-plus quarters of their Texas road trip in Week 12 but still came up empty in the win column. The Aviators will likely match last year’s win total of three by the end of their 2025 campaign, but this young and developing roster feels like a more promising future than the uncertainty of a year ago. Jonathan Lyle remains a threat anywhere on the field, and he ranks sixth in total scores per game (6.2) and 18th in total yards per game (479) going into the final weekend of the regular season. Rookie Max Combs has been one of the best runners in transition this season, and is quietly tied for seventh in the UFA in blocks (15).
20. Oregon Steel (-)
Record: 3-8
Last result: 19-18 (L, OT) vs Colorado
Next game: July 19 at Seattle
Oregon’s one remaining matchup against their Pacific coast rivals from Seattle is a perfect opportunity for the Steel to close out their upstart season with a dub; a win would also give the Steel the same amount of wins (4) as their first three seasons combined. David Barram went 46-of-46 from the field with four assists and over 400 passing yards in Oregon’s Week 4 win against the ‘Scades, and figures to be a primary attack point heading into Week 13. 6’5” mobile thrower and former University of Oregon product Adam McNichols has also been a big presence in his sophomore season with the Steel, and was a dual threat against Seattle earlier this season.
19. Houston Havoc (+2)
Record: 2-9
Last result: 22-20 (W, OT) vs Los Angeles
Next game: July 19 vs Carolina
Houston gutted out their second win of the season in overtime against LA last Friday night. Most impressively, though, the Havoc set a franchise low for turnovers (14) despite the five minutes of extra play. And after 2.5 seasons of me harping on the Havoc for their high turnover volume, Houston now has three straight games with 19 or fewer mistakes. The Havoc also set a franchise high for red zone scores (18), with Dalton Smith and Chase Cunningham piloting numerous short field possessions into the endzone.
18. Pittsburgh Thunderbirds (+1)
Record: 3-8
Last result: 21-19 (L) vs Chicago
Next game: July 19 at Indianapolis
For the second straight season the Thunderbirds have shown bright spots, but have struggled to get a consistent lineup on the field. In 2024 Pittsburgh had two players play in all 12 games, and this year they will have none, with numerous Thunderbirds missing games with injuries in 2025. John McMonigal has been the most reliable starter, and a handful of other O-line stalwarts have been impactful this season. But without a discernible defensive rotation, Pittsburgh has struggled to manufacture breaks and is on pace for their second lowest mark in franchise history.
17. Montreal Royal (-)
Record: 3-8
Last result: 21-18 (L) vs Toronto
Next game: July 19 vs Toronto
With four of the Royal’s eight losses coming by three goals or fewer, it will be a tough “what if?” offseason for Montreal. This was a team that was supposed to be hollowed out by the loss of reigning Rookie Of The Year Tobe Decraene, and instead made itself into an underdog for much of 2025. It’s hard to overstate just how quickly Christophe Tremblay-Joncas has transformed into one of the best throwers in the East Division in his eighth pro season. CTJ had previous career highs of 11 assists, 168 completions, 1,327 throwing yards, and eight huck completions. In 2025 and with one game to play, Tremblay-Joncas has 44 assists, 258 completions, 3,004 throwing yards, and 26 huck completions, that final number tying him for fourth in the UFA with this season.
16. Toronto Rush (-)
Record: 3-8
Last result: 21-18 (W) at Montreal
Next game: July 19 at Montreal
The Rush scored 49 goals combined in their first two meetings against their countrymen from Montreal this season, and have the lineup this Saturday to light up the scoreboard once again. English star Connor McHale has three straight starts with at least two assists and 220 passing yards, and his pulls on the D-line have been instrumental in establishing good field position for the Rush coverages. Toronto has struggled defensively for much of the season, but has back-to-back games with seven break scores.
15. Seattle Cascades (-)
Record: 3-7
Last result: 24-22 (L, OT) vs Colorado
Next game: July 18 at Colorado
Going into their final two matchups of the season, the Cascades are looking to avoid an 0-2 Week 13 and reversing last year’s win/loss record. Rookie Conor Belfield has been, pound-for-pound, one of the best receivers in the league this season. He’s fifth in receiving yards per game (321), and his utility as a thrower makes him especially dangerous in runout, fastbreak scenarios. The Cascades defense also has three straight games with at least seven break scores, and could catch both Colorado and Oregon off guard in their final games.
14. Madison Radicals (-1)
Record: 7-4 *
Last Result: 16-13 (L) at Minnesota
Next game: July 20 vs Chicago
The Radicals kept it tight on the scoreboard against the Wind Chill in Minnesota for much of the game by limiting possessions, but they kinda choked themselves out in the process. Madison mustered just nine red zone looks and converted on a paltry five, and the offense scored on less than 40 percent of their possessions for the second time this season against Minnesota, and the third time in a row going back to 2024. The new-look Radicals offensive attack featuring first year Madison players Kainoa Chun-Moy and Eric Sjostrom has a visible upside over their old system, but can it take root in time before the playoffs?
* Clinched a playoff berth
13. Philadelphia Phoenix (-1)
Record: 5-6
Last result: 24-16 (L) at New York
Next game: July 19 vs DC
One of the youngest lineups and toughest outs in the league in 2025, the Phoenix should be heralded as a bright success despite coming up short of their postseason goals. Scott Heyman and Sean Mott showed they can anchor a good offense, the Grossberg brothers add a great playmaking pop, and the defense has a lot of good matchups with Paul Owens, Nate Little, and rookie standout Jack Wisner. But with opponents averaging the second fewest turnovers per game in the league against the Phoenix in 2025—and a 1-for-7 break performance on Sunday against the Empire—Philly is on the outside looking in on the playoffs after another promising season against divisional competition.
12. San Diego Growlers (+2)
Record: 7-4 *
Last result: 21-19 (W) at Los Angeles
Next game: July 19 at Oakland
The Growlers were the beneficiaries of Atlanta’s win against Carolina, and San Diego will make their first trip back to the playoffs since 2022. And after a few seasons outside of the league’s top 10, San Diego is having a franchise year for fewest turnovers, and currently sit seventh in the league with just 16.5 per game, with just two performances of over 20 turns. San Diego doesn’t employ a traditional center/”pivot” handler on offense—Matt Miller leads the team in throwing volume, but is a supremely mobile passer who often follows the disc downfield—and yet they’ve been one of the most efficient units all season long. Miller, Travis Dunn, Khalif El-Salaam, Marcel Osborne, Daniel Brunker, and KJ Koo can all run the show for stretches, and the team has a good sense of when to ride the hot hand.
* Clinched a playoff berth
11. Colorado Summit (-1)
Record: 7-4 *
Last result: 33-13 (W) at Vegas
Next game: July 18 vs Seattle
After splitting the rivalry series the past two years, the Summit couldn’t keep up with a second half surge last Friday night in Salt Lake and got swept in the regular season by the Shred. The Summit offense has some stretches that lack focus, but the Colorado D-line is the place of real concern. The defense has managed just four break scores total in their two matchups against the Shred this season, and they struggled to prevent critical Salt Lake scores near quarter breaks in Week 12. Their upcoming matchup could be a great get-right game for the Summit, or a precursor for the same playoff woes that afflicted them in 2023.
* Clinched a playoff berth
10. New York Empire (+1)
Record: 6-5 *
Last result: 24-16 (W) vs Philadelphia
Next game: July 19 vs Boston (Game Of The Week)
For the first time all season, the Empire really flexed their might. Even without Calvin Brown, the New York offense was efficient and explosive against the Phoenix, with Ben Jagt, Matt LaBar, and rookie Jacob Cowan all getting in on the longball. And after weeks of dull defensive play, the Empire D-line was ferocious in coverage and on the counter, tallying 11 blocks and eight break scores while blowing open last Sunday’s game in the second quarter. It’s still tough to call a five-loss team formidable, but another impressive showing against Boston this coming Saturday could make New York the three seed to fear in the entire playoffs. Case in point: college superstar and former Flyer Ben Dameron is on the active roster for Week 13, and will be available for the playoffs; Brown may be lost, but this offense adding a player the caliber of Dameron is downright dangerous for the rest of the East.
* Clinched a playoff berth
9. Oakland Spiders (-)
Record: 8-3 *
Last result: 21-16 (W) at San Diego
Next game: July 19 vs San Diego
Oakland has a chance to host their first playoff game since 2015 with a win this Saturday, and while the offense has deservedly taken most of the headlines this season, the Spiders defense converts the fifth most breaks per game, and has held opponents to the fifth lowest success rate this season while dealing with shifting lineups. Captain and recent U24 gold medalist Robin Vickers Batzdorf is slated to make his first start since early June, and his handler defense will be a boon for downfield bigs Seamus Robinson and Wyatt Berreman, two of the more underrated defenders in the West. The Spiders had nearly as many blocks (13) as goals allowed (16) in their first meeting with the Growlers a few weeks ago, and could be even stronger in Week 13.
* Clinched a playoff berth
8. Austin Sol (-)
Record: 9-2 *
Last Result: 20-13 (W) vs Los Angeles
Next game: July 18 vs Carolina
With Jackson Potts done for the season with an ACL injury, Mark Henke has continued to explode with the increased workload. The younger Henke now has 11 assists, 18 goals, and over 1200 receiving yards in just his last three starts alone, and he shattered his previous career high for completions in a game (23) by throwing 32 against LA in Week 12. Austin still controls their path to the one seed in the South Division, but they will have to beat Carolina for the first time since their first round playoff matchup in 2023.
* Clinched a playoff berth
7. Carolina Flyers (-1)
Record: 5-5
Last result: 21-17 (L) vs Atlanta
Next game: July 18 at Austin
Even though they’re eliminated from playoff contention, this Flyers squad and their powerful offense are still going to determine who gets home field advantage for the South Division playoffs. Carolina has converted on 60 percent or better of their offensive possessions in four straight outings, and in six of their last seven games overall; the Flyers rank fourth in the UFA this season in O-line success. The defense, however, remains streaky, and converted just two breaks against the Hustle in Week 12. Carolina is one of just five teams to not feature a player with double digit blocks this season, and the Flyers as a team rank middle of the pack in takeaways.
6. Minnesota Wind Chill (+1)
Record: 8-2 *
Last result: 16-13 (W) vs Madison
Next game: July 18 at Salt Lake (Friday Night Frisbee)
Veteran handler Josh Klane had his best game in recent memory against the Radicals as he dug out two key blocks for the O-line and finished the game with a throw or assist on 60 percent of the offense’s scores. There’s still questions about this Wind Chill team—can the offense play a full four quarters against a good defense? Can they beat Chicago?—but there were ones last year, too, before they went on a title run. Oh and shoutout to Bryan Vohnoutka for reaching his 100-game milestone with Minnesota, becoming the fourth player in team history to hit the century mark.
* Clinched a playoff berth
5. Boston Glory (-3)
Record: 9-2 ^
Last Result: 20-16 (L) at DC
Next game: July 19 at New York
Boston is experiencing injuries and a lull in their play at the wrong time of the calendar. The Glory managed just 32 total goals in their two losses to DC this season, and had particular trouble navigating the disc through Breeze coverages in the red zone. Albert Yuan has been a sweet new addition and field space for the O-line in recent games, but it takes a lot of throws and possession-saving Tobe Decraene layouts to punch in goals despite all the talent on that side of the disc. And with All Defense level starters Jeff Babbitt and Tyler Chan dinged up, it’s tough to say how imposing the remaining Boston defense is against the offenses of DC and New York.
^ Clinched one seed in East Division
4. DC Breeze (+1)
Record: 7-4 *
Last result: 20-16 (W) vs Boston
Next game: July 19 at Philadelphia
Since committing 22 turnovers in their loss at Montreal on May 31, the Breeze are averaging just under 13 mistakes per game over their last five (4-1 record). And even without WR1 Cole Jurek in the lineup due to caution, the DC offense cruised with Andrew Roy and Jacques Nissen setting the table, and Thomas Edmonds, Rowan McDonnell, Tyler Monroe, and Christian Boxley owning their one-on-one matchups. Alexandre Fall and Jasper Tom are a threat to disrupt any lane reset or throw in the flat, and Miles Grovic remains one of the most impactful defenders in deep space even with a cast on one arm. It’s been a long journey since their semifinals loss and ensuing Week 1 defeat at the hands of the Phoenix, but the Breeze are starting to look like the team that was picked as favorites at last year’s Championship Weekend.
* Clinched a playoff berth
3. Atlanta Hustle (+1)
Record: 9-3 *
Last result: 21-17 (W) at Carolina
Next game: TBD
The Hustle dispatching their archnemesis in their final regular season game is a great test for this team heading into the playoffs. And after a few less-than-dominant performances, Brett Hulsmeyer was huge for the Hustle with four goals and 387 receiving yards versus the Flyers, including an emphatic sky in the second half for a crucial hold. Austin Taylor continues to be dialed in with the disc from any spot, and finished with his third six-assist game in his last seven starts alone.
* Clinched a playoff berth
2. Salt Lake Shred (+1)
Record: 10-1 ^
Last result: 32-11 at Vegas
Next game: July 18 vs Minnesota (Friday Night Frisbee)
With their 10th straight win this season, the Shred now have four consecutive regular seasons with 10 wins, joining Madison, New York, and Toronto as the only franchises to accomplish such a feat. Chad Yorgason continues to be the sledgehammer that leads the team in scoring, but younger brother McKay Yorgason has fully evolved into one of the best pivot throwers in the league. A motion passer, McKay does a lot of work in the trenches, connecting spots on the map with short, tight throws—he’s tied for the league lead in hockey assists—and constantly outpacing his defender. He’s top six in assists, completions, and throwing yards, and while most of his passing is done under 20 yards, McKay is 7-of-9 on hucks in 2025.
^ Clinched one seed in West Division
1. Chicago Union (-)
Record: 10-0 ^
Last Result: 21-19 (W) at Pittsburgh
Next game: July 19 vs Detroit
Detroit and Madison are the lone obstacles between the Union and a perfect regular season record. Chicago forces the most turnovers per game and have the highest break rate in the league, with double digit block totals in every game this season. Xavier Payne is averaging over two takeaways per start in 2025, with fellow first-year Union defender William Wettengel not far behind. If the Union can keep their current pace, they’ll set a new UFA record for highest break rate in a single season.
^ Clinched one seed in Central Division
