24. Vegas Bighorns (-)
Record: 0-10
Last result: 32-11 (L) vs Salt Lake
Next game: July 12 vs Colorado
With four straight games with 30 or more turnovers—and five such performances in their last six—the Bighorns have just plain struggled with the basics. As a result, Vegas is now on pace to set a new single season record for fewest scores per game (12.7), submarining the prior mark of 14.5 set by the 2019 Detroit Mechanix and matched by the 2023 Montreal Royal. To put that gap into perspective, Vegas would have to score 47 goals over their remaining two games to avoid infamy; the Bighorns just scored 47 goals over their past four games combined.
23. Detroit Mechanix (-)
Record: 1-8
Last result: 25-14 (L) vs Minnesota
Next game: July 12 at Indianapolis
Jake Felton has already asserted himself as one of the most prodigious chuckers in UFA history through just his first 20 games as a pro. The second-year passer is third all-time in assists per game (5.5), first in huck completions per game (3.6)^, and second in throwaways per game (6.3), an eternal green light from anywhere on the field. That firepower and freedom has both shot Detroit into—and out of—most games in 2025.

22. Indianapolis AlleyCats (-)
Record: 2-8
Last result: 28-12 (L) at Madison
Next game: July 12 vs Detroit
After a back-and-forth first quarter that saw the AlleyCats notch seven scores, Indy managed just five goals combined over the back three quarters at Breese Stevens Field last Saturday night as the offense could never get settled. And for the third time in their past four games, the ‘Cats O-line failed to reach a 30 percent success threshold, dropping them to second to last this season in offensive conversion rate. A main culprit has been a curious reliance on the longball: Indy is dead last in huck completion rate, and yet they’ve attempted 12 or more in each of their past four games.
21. Houston Havoc (-)
Record: 1-9
Last result: 29-20 (L) vs Austin
Next game: July 11 vs Los Angeles
Rookie Mark Turner continues to have a quietly effective debut season on the offense, and local product Xavier Fuzat has been lightning in a bottle in three of his starts in 2025. But without their interstate rivals from Dallas to beat up on, the Havoc have struggled to assert themselves against the new-look competition in the South Division. Silver lining: After finishing last and second to last in turnovers in each of the past two seasons, respectively, Houston is under 20 per game in 2025 and moving towards league average.
20. Oregon Steel (-1)
Record: 3-8
Last result: 19-18 (L, OT) vs Colorado
Next game: July 19 at Seattle
With three wins already this season—and their last two home losses by one goal apiece—this season has already been a success for the rebranded Steel. And after a couple of years of lineup instability, there’s a clear core emerging for Oregon with team vets Nate Knutson, Quinn Buermeyer, Antonio Rueda, and others stepping into larger leadership roles in 2025. The defense is still too sporadic to make the Steel consistently competitive, but they’ve shown in the past two games they can go on runs and get breaks in bunches.
19. Pittsburgh Thunderbirds (-1)
Record: 3-8
Last result: 21-19 (L) vs Chicago
Next game: July 19 at Indianapolis
The Pittsburgh offense, anchored by franchise pillars Jonathan Mast and Jimmy Towle, had one of their most impressive performances of the season against a championship-caliber defense in Chicago, but could not pull out the win at home. Evan Bembenista and rookie Lucas Storm have shown highlight potential in recent weeks, and the team has generally righted themselves after a brutal midseason stretch of blowout losses. Yet even with their recent upswing and promising play from their developing players, the Thunderbirds still rank in the bottom six in turnovers, breaks per game, and goals allowed.
18. Los Angeles Aviators (-1)
Record: 2-7
Last result: 21-19 (L) vs San Diego
Next game: July 11 at Houston
Speaking of exciting young players: LA has one of the best playmakers in the South Division with rookie Jonathan Lyle. A speedy receiver with a thrower’s vision and touch, Lyle is equally dangerous with or without the disc, and his 5’10” frame does not do justice to how authoritative he can be in the air. Lyle had a bit of a slow start with just four total scores in his first two professional starts, but is averaging a blistering seven scores per game over his last seven appearances
17. Montreal Royal (-1)
Record: 3-8
Last result: 21-18 (L) vs Toronto
Next game: July 19 vs Toronto
When the calendar flipped to June, it felt like the Royal and their precision deep attack were a true dark horse in a wide open East Division playoff race. But with just one win and five straight ensuing losses since the start of June, Montreal will be on the outside of the playoff picture for the sixth straight season since 2017*. Quentin Bonnaud is tied for the league lead in goals (48) this year, and is approaching the top 10 all-time in career goals; currently 12th, Bonnaud would theoretically need eight goals in the Royal season finale to leapfrog Keenan Plew and Terrence Mitchell.
* Does not include 2020 postponed season or 2021 Canada Cup reformatted schedule
16. Toronto Rush (+4)
Record: 3-8
Last result: 21-18 (W) at Montreal
Next game: July 19 at Montreal
The Rush snapped a four-game losing streak thanks in large part to Tom Blasman’s perfect 53-of-53 throwing performance. The Dutch superstar now has 45 assists and over 4000 throwing yards with a game remaining on the schedule, and is within striking distance of becoming the first Rush player in their illustrious franchise history since 2017 to throw for 50 assists in a season. James Lewis has also been one of the most productive offensive players in the UFA in 2025, and his ever-expanding throwing repertoire only makes his receiving skills more dangerous.
15. Seattle Cascades (+1)
Record: 3-7
Last result: 24-22 (L, OT) vs Colorado
Next game: July 18 at Colorado
Since yardage stats began in 2021, Garrett Martin is one of just seven players to amass at least 8,000 throwing yards and 10,000 receiving yards, joining a club that features other hybrid stars Jack Williams, Travis Dunn, Kyle Henke, Jordan Kerr, Ryan Osgar, and Quinn Finer. In addition to being one of the most productive players in the league, Martin has bumped up his efficiency with the frisbee over each of the past three seasons. Seattle won’t get an opportunity to defend their divisional title this season, but Martin and company still figure to have a sizable impact on the playoff race in the West.
14. San Diego Growlers (-)
Record: 7-4
Last result: 21-19 (W) at Los Angeles
Next game: July 19 at Oakland
The Growlers picked up a much needed road win in LA in Week 11, and are now on the verge of returning to the playoffs for the first time since 2022. Khalif El-Salaam, Matt Miller, and Daniel Brunker were standouts last Saturday for their play on offense, but it might’ve been a couple of clutch defensive plays from second-year defender Casey Shugarman that clinched San Diego’s victory. The 6’5” UC-Davis grad has a way of making statement plays at the right moment, and the Growlers were a tidy 7-of-10 on break chances against the Aviators. San Diego now has a bye week before putting their entire season on the line in Oakland on the final weekend of the regular season.
13. Madison Radicals (-)
Record: 7-3 *
Last Result: 28-12 (W) vs Indianapolis
Next game: July 12 at Minnesota
The Radicals defense continues to feast on the lesser opponents in the Central Division during their current four-game winning streak, with Madison stacking up 51 break scores over that stretch. The 19 defensive scores they registered last Saturday against Indy tied for the second most in a single game in the UFA this season, and it was the most for the Radicals franchise since 2021. The tandem of Pieran Robert and Anthony Gutowsky continue to be among the best players in the league at capitalizing on scores in transition.
* Clinched a playoff berth
12. Philadelphia Phoenix (-)
Record: 5-4
Last result: 20-19 (W) vs Montreal
Next game: July 11 vs Boston
Philadelphia’s season essentially comes down to their brutal home-and-away doubleheader in Week 12, hosting Boston on Friday before facing the Empire in New York this coming Sunday. 25-year-old Nate Little continues to have an All Defense caliber season in his fifth year with the team, and his size combined with his sneaky-great backhand make him a problem in coverage and on the counterattack as a thrower. Little has three straight starts with at least two assists, and the Phoenix will need to be tidy with their break opportunities if they want to at least split their upcoming battles.
11. New York Empire (-1)
Record: 5-5
Last result: 23-19 (W) vs Toronto
Next game: July 13 vs Philadelphia
Seven of the Empire’s past eight games have been decided by four goals or fewer, with half of those games being decided by a single score, so you know the final push for this 2025 New York team is going to involve drama. And after being limited by a hamstring issue to begin the season, Jack Williams is really turning it on in recent games. He doesn’t have a throwaway in each of his past two starts, and he has at least three assists and 40 completions in each of his last three outings. With an emergent Playoff Jack alongside Ben Jagt, John Randolph, Matt LaBar, Calvin Brown, and Solomon Rueschemeyer-Bailey on offense, the rest of the league better hope the East vanquishes the Empire before they reach their final form.
10. Colorado Summit (-3)
Record: 6-3 *
Last result: 24-18 (L) vs Salt Lake
Next game: July 11 at Salt Lake (Friday Night Frisbee)
Even before the Summit slipped in the second half of their six-goal loss to rival Salt Lake, Colorado struggled to match the team speed and intensity of the Shred. The Mamabird infusion of Tobias Brooks, Nanda Min-Fink, and Zeke Thoreson all produced highlights and eye-popping counting stats, but the Summit offense as a whole couldn’t stay consistent with what felt like its sixth different lineup of the season. And after piling up break scores against the other offenses in the West Division, Colorado generated just three break opportunities against the Shred and converted just one in Week 11.
* Clinched a playoff berth
9. Oakland Spiders (-)
Record: 8-3 *
Last result: 21-16 (W) at San Diego
Next game: July 19 vs San Diego
The Spiders and their sizzling offense have been at a different level in 2025 not only because of their new talent additions in Adam Rees and Leo Gordon, but also because of the visible evolution of Walker Frankenberg in his third pro season. A speedster with stamina for days, Frankenberg leads the league in total scores (77), receiving yards (3,456), and total yards (5,912) with two weeks of play remaining. Oakland has been able to outscore virtually every opponent in 2025, but can they transform into a true contender in the playoffs and slow down the Shred or Summit attacks?
* Clinched a playoff berth
8. Austin Sol (-)
Record: 8-2
Last Result: 29-20 (W) at Houston
Next game: July 12 vs Los Angeles
The Sol scored 28 or more goals for the third time this season against the Havoc, sweeping the three-game season series with their interstate counterparts in the process. A switch to offense has seemingly unlocked the potential of Mark Henke who has been on an absolute tear his past two games, throwing eight assists, scoring 14 goals, and running down nearly 900 receiving yards combined. Austin still has the inside track on the one seed and a first round bye in the South Division playoffs, but they can’t afford a setback this coming Saturday against an LA team that always plays the Sol close.
7. Minnesota Wind Chill (-4)
Record: 7-2 *
Last result: 25-14 (W) at Detroit
Next game: July 12 vs Madison
The first loss of the season to the rival Union could largely be attributed to a slow start. But there’s no avoiding the 10-goal drubbing the Wind Chill received from the Union last Friday night in Chicago where Minnesota was outmatched on both sides of the disc. And with another potential meeting with Chicago in the Central Division title game forthcoming in August, the Wind Chill offense needs to figure out what has been plaguing them; Minnesota has just a 29 percent offensive success rate (18-of-61!) against Chicago in two games this season, and struggled to contain the Union defense in transition following turnovers.
* Clinched a playoff berth
6. Carolina Flyers (-1)
Record: 5-4
Last result: 26-21 (W) vs Austin
Next game: July 12 vs Atlanta
The Flyers have come back from the brink during their five-game winning streak, but still face a must-win against Atlanta this Saturday in their fourth meeting of the season with the Hustle. Perennial All-UFA selections Allan Laviolette and Jacob Fairfax have (deservedly) occupied many of these blurbs in weeks past, but Grayson Sanner continues to play exceptionally in 2025. Ostensibly the replacement for Anders Juengst’s role in the Flyers attack, Sanner has a similar blend of quickness, spring-box athleticism, and toughness that makes him a grueling matchup virtually everywhere on the field. He’s also just a gamer in clutch situations, and Carolina will certainly have a handful in the final three games of their schedule.
5. DC Breeze (+6)
Record: 6-4
Last result: 17-16 (W) at Boston
Next game: July 12 vs Boston (Game Of The Week)
With their win in Boston last Sunday, the Breeze now have quality wins against the Flyers, Empire, and Glory to put on their resume as they zero in on their ninth straight postseason appearance. If this is Rowan McDonnell’s final season, it’s been a helluva last ride for the 36-year-old former MVP. He leads the team in scores this season, and his midrange game continues to make him an invaluable piece of the Breeze offensive system. Add in Thomas Edmonds switching more fully to offense, and the DC attack is as good as its been all season. And after a slow start to the season, DC’s defensive coverage scheme and health have improved, and they’re averaging eight breaks per game over their last four games.
4. Atlanta Hustle (-)
Record: 8-3 *
Last result: 14-9 (W) vs Austin
Next game: July 12 at Carolina
While it won’t be definitive, this Saturday’s matchup with the Flyers will show whether this Hustle team has fixed its starcrossed energy, or if they’re still the “younger brother” in games with Carolina. Austin Taylor was perfect from the field in Atlanta’s last meeting with the Flyers, but the Hustle defense mustered just four breaks total in the loss. The Week 12 matchup is effectively a playoff game for both squads, with the Hustle possessing the opportunity to eliminate a darkhorse championship contender—and their closest rivals—from playoff competition.
* Clinched a playoff berth
3. Salt Lake Shred (+3)
Record: 9-1 *
Last result: 32-11 at Vegas
Next game: July 11 vs Colorado (Friday Night Frisbee)
The Shred are riding a nine-game hot streak after their season opening loss in Atlanta, and there is not a better conditioned, faster team than Salt Lake right now. Both lines love to run and gun in space, and they’ve somehow managed to simultaneously reduce turnovers compared to prior seasons; the Shred have had just one game with 20 or more turns this season, and they rank third in the UFA for fewest turns per game (14.5) while also averaging the fourth most huck completions (8.5). Chad Yorgason has been a perfect talisman and point of attack for the offense, Jordan Kerr is fully back in his groove as a distributor and dual threat receiver, and Matt Russnogle is like a fullback when the disc is near the endzone for the offense.
* Clinched a playoff berth
2. Boston Glory (-1)
Record: 8-1 *
Last Result: 17-16 (L) vs DC
Next game: July 11 at Philadelphia
Boston and their plodding offensive play proved themselves mortal after all in their loss to the Breeze. And for the second time this season, the Glory struggled in the red zone against DC’s coverages; Boston had nine red zone turnovers in two games against the Breeze this season, and their short field mistakes proved especially costly last Sunday. Tobe Decraene continued his MVP campaign with his fourth straight start with five goals, but Boston’s offense lacks the smoothness displayed by other elite units; the Glory have the confidence in and ability to win most one-on-one matchups given their talent, but the flip side of that playstyle is that their disc movement can become muddied due to spacing issues. Boston still has a significant advantage towards the one seed in the East, but their three remaining games will make them earn it: at Philadelphia, at DC, at New York.
* Clinched a playoff berth
1. Chicago Union (+1)
Record: 10-0 ^
Last Result: 21-19 (W) at Pittsburgh
Next game: July 19 vs Detroit
The lone undefeated team in 2025, the Union defense broke open the reigning champion Wind Chill like a piñata and looted their rivals for 13 break scores en route to a blowout win last Friday, and then rode Daan De Marrée’s epic performance to a close victory in Pittsburgh on Saturday. Benjamin Preiss, Brandon Van Deusen, Xavier Payne, William Wettengel, and many others are playing really well for Chicago this season. But with De Marrée playing better than anyone else in the league right now—and I don’t know how close it is between him and second—the Belgian superstar has stolen the show. There’s simply no player that can match his stamina and speed, and now that he’s gotten a feel for this whole pro scene thing, De Marrée is finally showing the swagger of Europe’s top product. We all knew the Union were going to be a special team, but De Marrée is something else.
