Jacques Nissen grew up in Washington DC and started playing ultimate in 6th grade at Alice Deal Middle School. He played both baseball and frisbee through freshman year of high school, and then he dropped baseball to focus solely on frisbee. At Jackson-Reed High School, Jacques led the Ultimate Frisbee Team to 5 consecutive DCSAA championships (a streak that is ongoing), and a Virginia State championship in 2019. Jacques went to college at Brown University where he majored in cognitive science and capped off his collegiate career with a college championship in 2024. Now, Jacques is back in DC and in his first year teaching (4th grade science) at Truesdell Elementary School.
