Mark Lloyd is about to take on DC and New York in the same weekend (in 2025), Justin Burnett’s got a primetime revenge game against his former team, and Tobias Brooks is in the lineup for Colorado. What more could you ask for in Week 6? This week’s watchlist features some highly-anticipated 2025 debuts, playmaking talent on both sides of the disc, and guys ready to step up in primetime.
Tobias Brooks, Colorado Summit
As Evan Lepler mentioned in his “Wednesday Wows” piece this week, the Colorado Summit are about to get an influx of college stars; coming off a runner-up finish at College Nationals, Colorado Mamabird’s Tobias Brooks, Elliot Hawkins, Nanda Min-Fink, and Zeke Thoreson are expected to suit up for the first time this season tomorrow night against Oakland. While all four should make an impact, Brooks was one of the hottest UFA free agent signings this past offseason after he put on a show for Carolina last year and I’m eager to see how he fits into a Summit squad loaded with playmakers. Ultiworld’s number two D-I men’s player of 2025, Brooks’ skillset as both a thrower and downfield receiver gives the Summit offense another extremely versatile playmaker, and he should visibly elevate their ceiling. Brooks averaged 438 yards per game in 11 appearances last year for the Flyers, most on the team, and he could be exactly the spark that Colorado needs to pull off the upset win at home.
Justin Burnett, Minnesota Wind Chill (Pictured)
We welcome back Justin Burnett to the weekly watchlist for a massive revenge game against the Atlanta Hustle, a team that currently boasts the most efficient offense in the league. Burnett has been as advertised for the Minnesota Wind Chill D-line thus far, as he’s tied for the team lead in blocks (5) while also tied for second on the team in scores (11), despite playing over 85 percent of his points on defense. The former Callahan Award winner has the disc skills, athleticism, and awareness to attack opposing O-lines in a variety of ways, and Minnesota’s going to need a big performance from him in Friday’s primetime game against the number one power-ranked team in the league. No team has shown signs of slowing down Atlanta’s offense to this point, but if Burnett’s familiarity with their players and system can give the Wind Chill defense an edge at home, the reigning champs could hand the Hustle their first loss of 2025.
Nate Goff, Chicago Union
Set to make his 2025 debut this week against Atlanta, Nate Goff returns to the Chicago Union lineup after having played just one UFA game since Chicago’s championship game appearance in 2022. At 6’4”, Goff has the length and athleticism to playmake at virtually any position on the field, whether he’s breaking marks, skying over his matchups in the deep space, or getting point blocks on opposing throwers. While he’s historically played mostly D-line for Chicago, they’re loaded this year on both sides of the disc and have the luxury of slotting Goff in anywhere they need some size, which should of course include end-of-quarter situations. A member of the 2022 Team USA World Games team, Goff’s presence should immediately raise the ceiling of this high-powered Union squad and it’ll be worth watching how he’s deployed against Atlanta in the Game of the Week.
Mark Lloyd, Toronto Rush
First Team All-UFA in 2013 and 2014. Holder of several Toronto Rush franchise records. 2014 Ultimate Canada Male Athlete of the Year. Mark Lloyd is officially back. The Toronto Rush legend returns to the lineup just in time for a huge Week 6 homestand, as Toronto hosts DC and New York on Friday and Sunday, respectively. Back in January, Lloyd was quoted in the Tuesday Toss saying, “I’ve never stopped training even in the time I have been away from the UFA. In some ways, I am stronger than I was 10 years ago. Time, however, is usually undefeated. At 35, do I think I’ll be the same player I was at 24 or 28? Probably not. But I think I can still play the game the same way I used to.” His 2025 debut was always going to be notable, and now for it to come on the DC-New York weekend gives it just that much more intrigue as Toronto looks to keep pace with the toughest division in the league.
Adam Miller, Atlanta Hustle
Sharing lead handler duties with Austin Taylor this year, Adam Miller has been a revelation for this Atlanta Hustle offense. After playing mostly D-line in his two previous seasons with the team (2021 and 2024), Miller’s already set career highs in every major offensive category in just five games. He’s coming into this weekend’s Central Division double header fresh off a season-high eight-assist game against San Diego last Saturday, and he seems to be getting more and more comfortable in the Hustle offense each week; Miller finished without a throwaway for the first time this season against the Growlers and led the team with 49 completions. He plays with confidence, pairing sharp, in-rhythm handler cuts with elite disc skills, and the release velocity on his throws (we’ve seen it with his forehand, backhand, and hammer) has to be one of the most powerful in the league. The Hustle have a big test this weekend, but if Miller can build on last week’s team-leading performance, the number one offense should continue rolling through the middle chunk of the season.
Tyler Monroe, DC Breeze
No Christian Boxley this week for DC, which means Tyler Monroe should have some extra work funneled his way as the Breeze offense looks to conquer Canada. In last year’s double header road trip against Toronto and Montreal, Monroe finished with 10 assists, four goals, and nearly 1,000 yards of offense in DC’s two-win weekend. Serving as one of DC’s key glue guys on offense, he’s been as consistent as ever through his first three games of 2025—just one turnover so far on 80 touches—and he should continue serving as a key stabilizing presence for an O-line still looking to find their rhythm; they’re coming off a season-low 30 percent O-line conversion rate last game against Boston. Toronto and Montreal are bottom five in O-line conversion rate allowed, so Monroe should help get the offense get back on track in a key Week 6 double header.
Will Selfridge, Salt Lake Shred
Back in the Shred lineup for the first time since Week 1, Will Selfridge is set to make his return tomorrow night against Seattle. Selfridge earned a spot on the Week 1 Honor Roll after wreaking havoc in Atlanta in his 2025 debut; he recorded two assists, six goals, and two blocks for a game-high +9 plus/minus. There’s a notable difference in team explosiveness whenever Selfridge is in the lineup, which really is saying something given how much speed is on this Shred team—Selfridge is just at a different level when he gets hot. The tandem he formed with Chad Yorgason in Week 1 seemed like a rock-solid foundation to build an offense around, so we’ll see if he can effectively slot back in to form one of the most dangerous one-two punches in the league. After how last season ended with Selfridge’s throwaway against the Cascades, expect him to come out firing in an enticing follow-up game to last week’s one-goal thriller.
