Boston's Tobe Decraene Wins 2025 UFA MVP Presented by Pabst Light

September 29, 2025

The Ultimate Frisbee Association is proud to announce Tobe Decraene as the 2025 league MVP presented by Pabst Light. Decraene is the ninth player and youngest winner of the award in UFA history, and the 22-year-old Belgian is also the first internationally born player to become MVP. He is also the second Boston Glory player to win MVP, joining Jeff Babbitt (2024). Decraene helped Boston earn their first title in franchise history, and adds to a hardware collection that already features last season’s “Rookie Of The Year” award and the 2025 Championship Weekend MVP chain.

“Winning this award is only the start of what I have set out for myself to achieve,” said Decraene.

In his first season with Boston, Decraene led the league in total scores (91) and receiving yards (4272), and also set a new single season playoff record for assists (20). In fact, Decraene has registered at least one assist in all of his 25 starts as a pro, and is now the youngest player in league history to record 100 career assists.

The 6’1” Decraene was the only player in the league in 2025 to register at least 50 assists and 40 goals, and was one of just two players along with Walker Frankenberg to reach the 40/40 mark. Decraene finished third in plus/minus, fourth in assists, sixth in goals, and sixth in totals yards. He also became the first player in league history to finish a single season with 400 completions and 4000 receiving yards.

With Decraene in the offensive rotation, Boston finished top six in both success rate and red zone efficiency during the title run. As a focal point of the attack, he averaged 29 completions at a 94.4 percent rate from the field, and accounted for 464 total yards of offense per game.

Viewers can tune in at 9:00 PM/ET tonight on the UFA YouTube channel for an exclusive, live interview between Decraene and broadcaster Evan Lepler.
