Fresh off signing the league’s all-time leader in goals Cameron Brock last week, the Atlanta Hustle continued a hot offseason in free agency with the acquisition of Alec Wilson Holliday. A former Dallas Legion standout, Wilson Holliday led the league in goals (60) and receiving yards (4,356) in 2024, and earned an All-UFA Third Team selection in the process. Atlanta finished first overall in offensive efficiency last season, and now adds two of the most effective goal scorers in league history for their 2025 campaign.
“In the end, I won’t lie, it was kind of an easy choice,” Wilson Holliday said of his decision to join the Hustle.
Equipped with breakaway speed and a four-quarter motor, Wilson Holliday has been one of the best deep targets over the past two seasons for a Legion team that fell (a little too) in love with the longball. In just his last 23 starts, he racked up 102 goals and 7,625 receiving yards, per game averages that put Wilson Holliday amongst the top 25 players in league history. And while his historic production volume certainly benefitted from Dallas’s slim depth at the receiver position, Wilson Holliday’s talent at creating separation and effectiveness downfield will only become more dangerous in an Hustle offensive system that has ranked top three in huck completion rate in each of the past four seasons. Think of the task opposing defenses are now presented with in guarding Wilson Holliday and Brock alongside MVP finalist Brett Hulsmeyer and 2024 All-UFA selection Jeremy Langdon.
"Growth is a guiding principle for the Hustle," said General Manager John Boezi. "Every year we look at our team and ask how we can get better, even if its one percent. Ideally we are keeping pace or exceeding our competition. With Alec and Cam we've added two impact players that bring elite skill and are fearless competitors. They will elevate our locker room and propel their teammates upward."
The Hustle are coming off back-to-back 10-win regular seasons and enter the new season as prospective favorites to win the South Division. But the Hustle still have yet to make Championship Weekend, having come up one goal shy of the semifinals in three of the past four years.
