The AUDL is proud announce that TCO Stadium in Eagan, MN will be the host site for 2023 AUDL Championship Weekend on August 25-26, 2023. Similar to the past two league championship events, both semifinal games will be played on Friday, August 25, with the winners of each matchup advancing to the 2023 AUDL Championship Game on Saturday, August 26. The New York Empire won this year's title 22-14 over the Chicago Union in Madison, WI to complete their second undefeated season in their last three campaigns.
“We are honored to showcase our championship weekend at TCO Stadium,” said AUDL CEO and Commissioner Steve Hall. “This venue meets the increasing expectations of our fans with its world-class facilities, state-of-the-art technology, and stunning hospitality areas. It’s the perfect stage to host the AUDL’s greatest players.”
The 7,500-seat TCO stadium opened in 2018 and is part of Viking Lakes, a multi-use development that is home to the Minnesota Vikings Football Club and the Omni Viking Lakes Hotel. The facility is conveniently located only minutes away from Downtown Minneapolis, Downtown St. Paul, the Mall of America, and MSP International Airport. The AUDL’s Minnesota Wind Chill play their home games nearby at Sea Foam Stadium, also in St. Paul.
“This stadium was built to host events for our community and athletes around the world,” said Viking Lakes General Manager Kyle Chank. “Welcoming AUDL players and fans to our home for championship weekend is truly exciting, and we look forward to creating highlights and lasting memories!”
The Wind Chill will play the Empire in an NFL halftime exhibition this Sunday, December 4 at the Minnesota Vikings game at US Bank Stadium. It will be the fifth time the Wind Chill have performed at a Vikings halftime since 2017.
