The AUDL leadership and team owners are continuing to monitor and assess our response to COVID-19, and are closely following announcements and updates on a daily basis to determine how they impact the AUDL season. We continue to place player and fan safety as our number one priority as we develop plans for a 2020 season.
The league is evaluating multiple 2020 season scenarios, including a shortened regular season, and a tournament-style set of matches that could begin later this summer.
The league has also begun to draft new policies and procedures for AUDL personnel and fans who might be able to attend games in person, following health guidelines. The first draft of these policies and procedures are being created by AUDL leadership, as well as team owners who are from the medical and legal community. Testing, travel logistics, social distancing, health counseling, and other critical factors are being examined to maximize safety for everyone involved going forward.
We miss ultimate. A lot. And the league appreciates the patience and understanding of all our players, personnel, and fans as we continue to establish our path forward in these difficult times.
