NEW YORK EMPIRE ANNOUNCE HOME VENUE, SEASON TICKET SPECIALS & PLAYER SIGNING FOR 2026
Mount Vernon, N.Y. (November 25, 2025) - The New York Empire of the Ultimate Frisbee Association (UFA) have announced The Stadium at Memorial Field in Mount Vernon, N.Y. will be the team’s new permanent home venue starting in the 2026 season. The team hosted four games at Memorial Field in 2025 and received overwhelmingly positive fan feedback.
"Finding a venue we could grow into while elevating the fan and player experience has been a top priority for the Empire, and Memorial Field delivers that,” said General Manager Matthew Stevens. “By moving just 12 minutes from Fosina Field, we’re proud to stay in Westchester, our home since 2018. We’re excited to start a new tradition, while welcoming back fan favorites like the Ice Cold Drumline, Captain Lawrence Brewing Co., and DJ J Dayz."
Constructed in 1931, The Stadium at Memorial Field features a capacity of 3,900 and has hosted numerous sports and community events for nearly a century. The facility also underwent a $40 million renovation in 2022, including updated locker rooms, improved stadium concessions and new audio and video technology. Fans can also enjoy free parking and convenient access to local public transportation.
The Empire are hosting 2026 Tryouts presented by VKTRY on Saturday, Dec. 13, from 8:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. ET at Florham Park Sports Dome in Florham Park, N.J. Registration is $95 and includes an Empire tryout reversible jersey. Click here for more information.
New York also recently announced the signing of Alex Atkins, who spent his first four seasons in the UFA with Colorado. Atkins qualified for the playoffs three times and earned an All-UFA First Team selection in 2024.
