His new role will consist of day-to-day team operations that will directly assist the current General Manager of the Thunderbirds, Andrew Gardner. He will be the 4th assistant General Manager - (Elliott Diamond, Leigh Charland, and Melanie Callahan)
Archer will still assume the role of his game day emcee duties, where he brings crowds to life with his wireless microphone at Highmark Stadium, waving flags, playing interactive games, and dancing.
"Kyle's acumen for creativeness during game days and his willingness to think out side the box is one of the many reasons we're excited to bring him more over to the business side of the Thunderbirds," commented Gardner. "We're committed to upping our business off the field too, and we believe Kyle is going to help us achieve that."
On top of his new role, he also still maintains his position with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds where he is their on-field emcee at all soccer home games. He can also be seen helping out the hype squad at Pittsburgh Penguins games at PPG Paints Arena during the NHL Season.
