PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Phorecast for the Phoenix this week is to tread very carefully north of the border as conditions could become very treacherous.
The Phoenix travel to Toronto to take on the Rush, a team that on one hand seems to be leaking oil. The invincible Rush squads of seasons past are perhaps no more after Toronto lost two of the last three games, falling to 6-4 on the season.
On the other hand, the Rush is a proud franchise and their players have a score to settle with the Phoenix, who defeated Toronto for the first time in franchise history earlier this season. That game, however, was in the friendly confines of A.A. Garthwaite Stadium, not the hostile environment Philadelphia and its plethora of young players will experience at Varsity Stadium in Toronto on Saturday.
The Phoenix, who fell to 2-6 after a loss in DC to the Breeze last weekend, practically has to win out and get some help to reach the playoffs. The Rush, meanwhile, hope to cement their position as the third and final playoff participant in the AUDL East Division.
Tune in to AUDL.tv at 4 p.m. on Saturday to watch all the action unfold.
The Phoenix host the NY Empire in their final 2019 home game on Saturday, July 6 at 6pm. Tickets and fan packs are available here.
