Los Gatos, CALIF. (Mar. 20, 2025) - The 3-time UFA champion New York Empire will play the Philadelphia Phoenix in a 2025 preseason exhibition game presented by Summerseat Crush on Saturday, April 5, with the game streaming live on WatchUFA.tv. The East division matchup will feature a small set of test rules and take place at Neumann University in Aston Township, Penn., with opening pull at 6:00 p.m. ET. The event will also include a pregame youth clinic, tailgate party and player autograph session.
Fans can use the promo codes 2025PHOENIX or 2025EMPIRE to get one free month of WatchUFA.tv for the 2025 season. Subscriptions to the platform are $11.99 per month or $89.99 annually. Game tickets are also available now, with all proceeds benefitting the local DELCO Food Project. Phoenix season ticket holders, Neumann University students and staff, and those 17 and under will be admitted for free.
The game will feature four rule changes meant to serve as a trial for potential league-wide updates in the future. The following rule changes will be in effect:
Team timeouts may be used to pull from midfield
If a team scores a Callahan, that team receives the next pull from midfield
No limit to the number of players that can guard one player
6-second stall count

Empire and Phoenix players will also be signing autographs and coordinating a free ultimate frisbee skills clinic for all ages on the field prior to the opening pull.
