PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia Phoenix announce new investor Johnny Goodtimes, Philadelphia’s Quizzo personality, who will also assist in operations as the self-dubbed ‘fun czar’. Goodtimes joins a number of other investors and partners interested in growing professional ultimate in the City of Brotherly Love.
Goodtimes is the voice of Quizzo in Philadelphia, where he has hosted since 2003. He holds the record of most Quizzos run in the United States, and has even hosted the annual Quizzo Bowl. In addition to his success with events, Goodtimes is also part-owner of Shibe Vintage Sports, located at 13th and Walnut Streets, where he showcases his passion for Philadelphia sports.
“I wanted to invest in the Phoenix because I think Ultimate Frisbee is one of the most exciting sports on earth,” said Goodtimes. “Once people go to these games, and see how terrific the action is, they're going to be hooked. I see my role as someone whose job is to get people down to the stadium for the first time and help make that first game a memorable experience. It is a challenge I'm really excited about, and I am looking forward to putting on events that will bring Philadelphians together.”
Goodtimes brings his bright personality and passion for sports to the Phoenix, and will help to give fans and spectators a bigger and better game day experience. He hopes his love for putting on events and excitement for the sport will provide fans with the ultimate, ultimate experience.
