Phoenix Name Assistant Coach

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Philadelphia Phoenix announce Harrison Schwarzer as Assistant Coach, joining Head Coach Adam Callaghan to lead the Phoenix into the 2026 season.

“I’m thrilled Harrison is joining the Phoenix coaching staff,” said Callaghan. “His ultimate background and how he views the game are very different from my own. It’s great to have someone who challenges me and our players to think about the game in new ways.”

Schwarzer brings a wealth of ultimate experience to his new role with the Phoenix. He has played for a variety of top club teams throughout the US, Canada and beyond including Ottawa’s Phoenix, helping the team place second at the 2013 Canadian Ultimate Championships and going on to play in the 2014 World Ultimate Club Championships, finishing 14th. In 2016 Schwarzer was invited to play with Team Canada in the Mixed division, and brought home the bronze from the World Ultimate and Guts Championship in London that year. After his time with Team Canada he played with the Wellington Wildcats out of New Zealand, joining them at the 2018 World Ultimate Club Championships and securing a 13th place finish.

Following his success as a player, Schwarzer took his experience on field and began coaching in 2019. Since then he has gone on to produce multiple top 10 club teams as a Head Coach throughout the Southwest and South Central regions. During his tenure with Public Enemy in Dallas, TX he received the honor of being named Ultiworld Coach of the Year, Second Runner Up for 2019.

Speaking on his new role, Schwarzer said, “I’m excited to bring my experience to professional ultimate, work with Coach Callaghan and the rest of the Phoenix organization as part of a staff that puts the team first and to help lead our players to perform at their best.”
