Coby Loveranes grew up and has spent his whole life in Reston, Virginia. He played almost every sport growing up before settling on Cross Country/Track & Field in High School at South Lakes. He ran competitively for 4 years and won 3 state championships and countless district and regional awards. There, he was introduced to Ultimate by some friends and played briefly for the Seahucks when not at track meets. He went to Virginia Tech with intent to run, but soon found his love for Ultimate; He is now a Junior and competes with VT Burn, Go BURN! At Virginia Tech, Loveranes is studying Nanomedicine and minoring in Spanish while doing gaseous biosensor and cancer research. He is excited to be playing for Breeze this year and be representing DC!!
