Leo grew up in Los Angeles. He had an early introduction to ultimate, earning a 2nd place finish in the elementary school division at Seattle's Spring Reign tournament. However, it wasn't until college that he started consistently playing. Whether its eggs in the kitchen or songs in the studio, even when Leo's not on the field, he stays cooking.
