CHICAGO — The Chicago Union will close out their 2026 season this weekend with back-to-back matchups against the Madison Radicals and Pittsburgh Thunderbirds.

The Union (1-9) earned their lone win of the season against the Radicals last month, edging Madison 18-16. Chicago has gone winless since and will look to close the season series on a high note.

The two clubs have met twice this summer, splitting the series 1-1. Madison claimed the more recent meeting in late June, defeating Chicago 14-11 on the Union's home turf.

The Radicals (6-4) currently sit in second place in the Central Division and remain in playoff contention. Madison enters the weekend with momentum, having defeated the Thunderbirds 31-19 in their most recent outing.

Following a quick turnaround from Madison, the Union will return home to host the Thunderbirds on Saturday night.

Chicago and Pittsburgh have met once this season, with the Thunderbirds narrowly winning the matchup 22-18. Pittsburgh has struggled since, falling to the Indianapolis AlleyCats most recently, and dropping to 2-8 on the year. With both clubs enduring difficult seasons, Chicago and Pittsburgh will each be looking for a season-ending win to build on heading into 2027.
