Chicago Union Announce Temporary Move to Evanston Township High School for 2026 Season
With the 2026 season on the horizon, we are excited to share that our home games will take place at Evanston Township High School’s Lazier Field. ETHS offers an accessible and energetic home for our fans and reflects our commitment to growth and community centered professional sports in the Evanston community.
This temporary move comes as Northwestern University prepares to welcome the Chicago Stars of the National Women’s Soccer League to Martin Stadium in 2026. Northwestern communicated early that there would not be enough available dates to host both our full season and the Stars’ first year in Evanston, and we fully support their expanded role in the broader sports landscape.
“We are thrilled to welcome the Chicago Stars to Evanston,” said CJ O’Brien, majority owner of the Chicago Union. “Their arrival is an exciting moment for the north suburbs, and we are working closely with them and with Northwestern to make sure they are set up for success in their first season here.”
Our move to ETHS allows us to deepen our presence in Evanston. Lazier Field provides a welcoming, family friendly environment where we can continue strengthening community ties, supporting youth programs, and bringing professional ultimate even closer to local families.

We intend to return to Martin Stadium for the full 2027 UFA season, and our partnership with Northwestern remains strong. We will continue hosting our annual overnight youth camp on campus from June 28th to July 3rd in 2026, and we are also exploring a special double header event with the Chicago Stars at Martin Stadium next season.
Union fans will continue to enjoy full broadcast access. All games will air on Marquee Sports Network and stream on WatchUFA tv presented by Pabst Light, where viewers can watch live, explore replays, and enjoy exclusive league content.

Majority of home games will be played at ETHS Lazier Field, and the official 2026 schedule will be released in February 2026.
