The Chicago Union will host the Central Division Championship Game this Sunday, August 29 at 5:00pm against the Minnesota Wind Chill. The game will be played at De La Salle Institute in Chicago.
Finishing the regular season 10-2, the Union locked up their first 10-win season since 2013 this past weekend with a 29-19 win over Detroit. They’ll take a five-game win streak into Sunday’s game, when they’ll face Minnesota for the fourth time this season; Chicago carries a 2-1 head-to-head record into the rematch, including a 20-16 win over Minnesota in the last meeting between the two teams.
Chicago is looking for their first ever postseason win. They’re 0-4 all-time in the playoffs, and most recently lost to Pittsburgh 21-20 in round one last season. Averaging the fewest turnovers per game of any team in the league and ranking third in both offensive and defensive efficiency, Chicago is well-positioned to get over the playoff hump and advance to Championship Weekend 10—the AUDL’s final four-style event—being held in DC on September 10-11.
Tickets for this game are available at the official team store.
