Championship Weekend will be here in 45 days, and what transpires between now and then is anyone’s guess. In case you hadn’t noticed, we truly are in the midst of the most uncertain season in the 12 year history of the Ultimate Frisbee Association.
10 weeks down, just three to go in the regular season. This week’s watchlist features a nice mix of unsung heroes, primary quarterbacks, and D-line playmakers looking to lead their teams into successful playoff runs.
1. New York Thrashes Salt Lake in Championship Rematch
The Empire have not been the dominant team in the league all year long, but they sure looked a whole lot like their dynastic selves on Saturday against Salt Lake, steamrolling the Shred 25-14 in New York’s first ever game at Trinity Health Stadium in Hartford.
By any measure, Week 10 featured some of the most thrilling frisbee of the entire season.
Just not in the two marquee games.
Carolina-DC and Salt Lake-New York, from a dramatic standpoint, were a couple of duds, both featuring East excellence and excessive amounts of garbage time.
After the conclusion of games in Week 11, 10 of the 12 available playoff spots across the four UFA divisions have been clinched with two weeks remaining in the regular season.
