The Dallas Legion of the Ultimate Frisbee Association (UFA) have suspended operations after the 2024 season. After nearly ten years, Legion owners Young and Ivy Byun have decided to step away from the team to dedicate more time to their young family and their medical careers in the Dallas community.
“Dallas was a tremendous franchise and they provided so many memorable moments in our league’s history,” said CEO & Commissioner Tim DeByl. “We want to thank the Byun family, staff, coaches and players for everything they contributed to the UFA.”
Dallas originally entered the league in 2016 as the Roughnecks, winning the championship in their inaugural season after going 14-0. The team would play in another two league championships–losing both–before rebranding to the Legion in 2022. The Legion’s all-time record, including playoffs, is 65-49.
More details regarding divisional alignment, playoff structure and league information will be coming soon. The 2025 UFA season is slated to begin play in April.
