On June 22, 2024, the Detroit Mechanix snapped their excruciating 81-game losing streak, tasting victory for the first time in 2,611 days.

It only took 365 for it to happen again.

Madison Midseason Check-In

The Madison Radicals have surpassed their midseason mark in the 2025 season and currently sit third in the Central Division at 4-3.

The team embarked on its first-ever road trip to Texas to play the Havoc and Sol. They left Texas with a 1-1 record after a rain-shortened victory over the Havoc, and a bad loss to Austin.

We didn’t necessarily want to admit it, but we saw this coming from a mile away.

Week 9 featured zero matchups between two teams with winning records and looked destined to be a debacle. For the most part, it delivered.

Eight games were decided by double digits, with scores like 28-14, 28-17, and 28-10—more football than frisbee. There was also 31-14 and 32-10.

(I think the Spiders’ kicker missed an extra point.)
