The AUDL should be afraid of the Raleigh Flyers. Even though the Flyers entered the 2018 season as overwhelming on-paper favourites, Raleigh had their problems early on. After the first few weeks, the team sat at 3-2 with no lopsided victories to its name.

Since the birth of the first Canadian expansion team in 2013, U.S. and Canadian teams have battled for supremacy on the AUDL field. The northern neighbors dominated the first few years of the international rivalry, but the U.S.-based teams have closed the gap, coming up just one game short in last year’s Cross Border Challenge.

Raleigh Flyers Find Redemption on the Road In Madison

 

Sitting at second place in the South Division at 7-3, 1.5 games behind the Dallas Roughnecks, the Flyers are in good position to go to the playoffs for the fourth straight year. They are coming off strong wins against the previously undefeated Madison Rascals, the current Midwest Division leaders, and Austin Sol, a divisional rival against who they absolutely controlled the pace in a 34-16 win.
