The time has come. After multiple weeks off, the Minnesota Wind Chill will resume play in their home stadium for the Central Division Championship against the Madison Radicals this Saturday night.

Radicals fans will remember July 28th, 2024, as an instant classic and one of the wildest UFA games in the league’s history. The Madison Radicals took down the Chicago Union in sudden death to advance to the next round of the playoffs. 

“That was probably the best game I've ever been involved in,” said head coach Tim DeByl.

By the time Madison’s Gabe Vordick secured the game-winning goal in double overtime on Sunday evening, all four home teams had survived and advanced in the opening weekend of the UFA playoffs. The two seeds had vanquished the three seeds, taking care of business just like they planned, banishing the quartet of third-place finishers to an August devoid of further frisbee.

For six years, the Madison Radicals and their fans have been waiting for a return to the playoffs. That will finally happen this Sunday night at Breese Stevens Field, with the Chicago Union returning  to town to take on the Radicals in the first round of the Central Division playoffs.
