Board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, he served in a faculty position as Chief Resident in both departments, teaching medical students, residents and faculty members locally and across the state. He has presented nationally on topics such as uncommon knee ailments, obesity among high school athletes, and anatomic muscle variants. After completing fellowship training in Sports Medicine at UNC, where he worked with UNC Basketball, Football, Soccer and Lacrosse among other sports, he joined the faculty in the Department of Orthopaedics and also serves as Team Physician for UNC Sports Medicine.
