The Toronto Rush are thrilled to announce that Jamie Millage will be taking on the role of associate coach for the upcoming season.
Millage will bring a wealth of coaching experience to the Toronto Rush, having coached the Durham junior ultimate program from 2015-2018 and the Ontario Tech/Durham College open ultimate team in 2018. Rush alumni Drew Wilson (2018-2019) had the opportunity to be coached by Millage in Durham.
Leading into the pandemic and throughout the past two years, the Whitby native was named the Team Canada U20 assistant coach, Team Canada U24 mixed head coach and World Championships of Beach Ultimate Team Canada open head coach.
Currently, he is the Manager of Athlete Development and Coaching for the Toronto Ultimate Club, and he is a registered National Coaching Certification Program Learning Facilitator.
As a player, Millage has also had great success, winning a Canadian Ultimate Championships gold medal in the open division with Toronto’s Grand Trunk in 2016. He has competed throughout the world including two Pan American Ultimate Championships and one World Masters Ultimate Championships. He is a captain of Houndd, an open club team based out of the Durham region.
“I am looking forward to the fun and the challenges of the AUDL, working with a great staff and team, and embracing the history, future and fans of the Toronto Rush," says Millage.
The Rush are excited to get back to an AUDL schedule that will include teams throughout the East division. Stay tuned to all the tryout and preseason updates by following the Toronto Rush on social media.
