Flyers Host the Phoenix at Home

June 24, 2021

Coming off their first win of the season, the Raleigh Flyers are back at Durham County Stadium this Friday, June 25 at 7pm ET. They’ll take on the undefeated Philadelphia Phoenix for the first time in franchise history.

The Flyers finally came away with a victory in this past weekend’s Game of the Week, as they edged out Boston 27-24 in a back-and-forth contest. It was a much needed win after two straight one-goal losses to start the season. This week they’ll take on a Phoenix team that has won each of their first two games and has shown renewed energy for the 2021 season; they finished with just four wins in 2019.

Leading the Flyers offense this year is second-year player Eric Taylor, who ranks second in the league in assists with 16 in just three games. The team also has an impressive crop of rookies headlined by 2019 Callahan Award (college MVP award) winner Matt Gouchoe-Hanas and 2020 D1 Men’s Offensive Player of the Year Anders Juengst.
