The Atlanta Hustle traveled to Texas this past weekend and came home with two big victories. They started off the road trip against Houston on Friday night, finishing them off with a 23-14 win. JP Burns had an exceptional performance on defense with 3 blocks and also added 3 assists. Brett Hulsmeyer stuffed the stat sheet with 5 goals, 2 assists, and 349 receiving yards. This was his most impressive performance as a receiver and shows his versatility as a two way player. Both Austin Taylor and Bobby Ley put up big throwing numbers as our starting handlers. They each had 3 assists, 300+ throwing yards and 30+ completions against Houston, setting the tone for the offense. Defensively, the Hustle forced 28 Havoc turnovers with 15 blocks and had 11 break conversions off turnovers.

In the second matchup, Atlanta came away with a smothering 23-12 victory over the Dallas Legion. This marks the 6th game where the Hustle have held their opponent to 15 or less points. They are 6-0 when doing so. Justin Burnett was lights out against Dallas totaling 3 blocks, 3 assists and 2 goals. Austin Taylor threw for 245 yards and 5 assists, while Matt Smith and Lukas McClamrock had 4 goals each, leading all receivers.The Hustle defense put up 16 blocks and forced 31 Dallas turnovers. Atlanta led the entire way, winning every quarter of the match.
With these two wins, the Hustle have clinched a berth in the AUDL Playoffs. They have two games remaining against the Carolina Flyers. Atlanta needs to win one of two to win the South Division and clinch the number one seed.
