The Atlanta Hustle put together one of their most impressive performances of the season against Dallas last Saturday. They won every quarter of the game and had their largest margin of victory in any game this season. The Hustle put up a season high 29 points with 15 breaks and 19 red zone conversions. It seemed like there was nothing that the Legion could do to slow down the Hustle offense. Trip Crowley had a breakout game for the Hustle, leading the team with 8 goals and 272 receiving yards. Matt Smith added 5 goals of his own and Bobby Ley had 4 assists and 494 total yards (361 throwing, 133 receiving. 10 Hustle players totaled 2 or more assists in the game, an impressive feat showing how deep this offense is.
The Hustle defense also came to play, forcing 26 Dallas turnovers with 16 blocks. Callahan Award winner Justin Burnett totaled 6 blocks, a game high, and had a +7 plus minus rating. Dean Ramsey and Kenni Taylor both had two blocks and were excellent in zone coverage. Dallas could not get anything going for most of the game thanks to the hard work from the Hustle defense.
The Hustle travel to Texas this week, facing Houston on Friday and Dallas again on Saturday.
