In the first of four matchups, the Atlanta Hustle earned a 5 point win over the Carolina Flyers. The game was tightly contested throughout, with the Hustle holding a narrow lead throughout most of the game. The Flyers were able to get some momentum in the fourth quarter, cutting the deficit to one with 7 minutes left. From that moment onward, the Hustle outscored the Flyers 5-1, with goals from Liam Haberfield and Jakeem Polk, followed by a great one handed Callahan from Bradley Fleming.

Liam Haberfield had a breakout game on offense, tallying a team high 5 assists and adding 3 goals. Brett Hulsmeyer made his presence felt on offense and defense, playing 31 total points with 4 assists, 2 goals, and 1 block. The Hustle converted well in the red zone scoring 15/17 chances and also held firm on defense with 9 total blocks. This is a statement win for the Hustle as they are now 2-0 and are in first place in the South Division.
