The Houston Havoc have named Sean McCall the new head coach of the team entering the 2026 season. Coach McCall was the organization’s general manager since the team’s inaugural season in 2023 and has an exceptional track record in club ultimate, both as a player and a coach.
"We're incredibly excited for the next chapter of the Houston Havoc as Sean McCall grabs the reins as head coach," said team co-owner Steve Hall. "Sean brings a long history of high level play in ultimate, a deep knowledge of the recruiting scene and an unmatched level of respect from players in Texas. We look forward to a bright on-field future for the business."
Coach McCall has won 14 World and National Ultimate Championship titles as a player or coach, and has been a USA National Team coach since 2021. He co-founded Doublewide, the top men's club team in Texas for the last 25 years, and played briefly for the former Charlotte Express of the UFA in 2015. McCall was a guest contributor to Tony Leonardo’s book Ultimate: The Greatest Sport Ever Invented By Man, and widely regarded as a highly influential leader, culture builder and team architect.
"Joy and fulfillment for me comes from helping athletes to unlock their potential and rise into the best versions of themselves,” said McCall. “Having spent more than 30 years contributing to the growth and culture of ultimate in Texas, I am honored to guide this team into its next chapter as head coach. We are building on the strong foundation from Coach Bex Forth, and I'm grateful for her creativity, fierceness and overall contributions to put the Havoc on the UFA map.”
The 2026 UFA regular season will be released in February. Follow the Houston Havoc offseason for news and updates at htxultimate.com.
