The Carolina Flyers begin their four-game series against the Atlanta Hustle this year this weekend in Atlanta on the road. This is the first of a pivotal three games in a row against the Hustle, with the final game of the 2026 series between Southeast rivals coming in late June. In 2025, Atlanta took two games off Carolina early, contributing to the 0-4 start that cost them a playoff spot. This year, the Flyers have a chance to put Atlanta’s playoff hopes in serious jeopardy during this three-game stretch, where these two teams only play each other.
The Flyers come into this Week 4 clash hot, coming off three impressive performances in a row and riding a 3-0 start. Atlanta, meanwhile, is 2-2, losing two close games to San Diego and Austin, and taking care of business against Houston and Vegas.
The Hustle has played the Flyers more than any other opponent has during Carolina’s time in the UFA. These teams do not like each other, and the stakes are about as high as they can be this early in the season. This is a huge early test for a Flyers team looking to put the memory of last season’s disappointing season out of their minds. A win here would both put Atlanta in a bit of a hole to climb out of this season and would provide a huge confidence boost to this Carolina roster. The Flyers lost last year’s season series 3-1, and had one or two of those games gone the other way, they would’ve been playing postseason ultimate.
Fortunately, Carolina has been rolling to start the season. They’ve been scoring more efficiently and frequently than at the beginning of last season, while taking the disc away from their opponents more than they did last year, too. Not to mention, they already have a big win on the road back in Week 1 against San Diego.
It’ll be a game you’ll want to watch no matter what. Tune into watchUFA.tv Saturday Night at 7:30pm EST to catch all the action.
