The Carolina Flyers host the Atlanta Hustle for the fourth and final match up between these two teams during the 2026 regular season. There are huge implications and stakes for this game across the entire South Division as we head towards the final few weeks of the season. The Flyers are looking to keep pace with the Austin Sol for first place in the division, and essentially need this win to ensure they are still in the hunt for first place when the Sol come to town in early July. Atlanta needs to win to stay in control of their own destiny for that third and final playoff spot in the South.
The Flyers sit at 8-2 on the back of two straight dominant wins. They sit just two losses behind the 8-0 Austin Sol for first place with two games in hand. The Hustle are 5-4 and are just a game ahead of the San Diego Growlers for the final playoff spot. The Growlers own the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Hustle, though, and have a much easier run of games down the stretch than the Hustle. Atlanta faces Carolina, DC, and then Austin, while San Diego has three games against Houston and Las Vegas.
Carolina will absolutely be facing a desperate team with their backs up against the wall. It will also be a good benchmark for this squad’s growth. Their last game against the Hustle was the first game Tobias Brooks played with the squad, and it was still before Zeke Thoreson made his season debut.
There are plenty of Flyers to keep an eye out for, though. Jacob Louie continues his impressive rookie campaign on the O-line, and Suraj Madiraju and Matt Tucker are coming off dominant defensive games. However, the calling card of this team has been complete performances. There are any number of players who can really step up in this match up.
