Carolina Flyers Hire New General Manager

After a thorough search, the Carolina Flyers are pleased to introduce Jonathan Pauley as our new General Manager. Pauley has over twenty years of sports management under his belt, most notably as owner of Renegade Racing, a running, triathlon, adventure sport management company in Southern California.

“Jonathan stood out among the many qualified candidates,” said owner Mike DeNardis. “He has a wide array of experience that complements our team perfectly. From producing over a thousand race events, to partnering with nonprofits and leading in creating an active sports-minded community, Jonathan is already contributing so much to the Flyers operation.”

“After over 20 years of working in the sports production industry I am excited to accept the job of Carolina Flyers General Manager,” said Jonathan Pauley. Though Pauley has limited exposure to professional ultimate, the Flyers are confident that his experience, education and attitude will set him up for success with the team.

“I’m having bit of a Ted Lasso-moment entering a sport that I don’t have much experience in, but what I have to offer the Carolina Flyers is a solid experience in sports business, a masters degree in Sports Management, a nearly-complete PhD in Strategic Leadership, and an unflappable positive attitude. I look forward to developing relationships between the community, sponsors, and youth sports that promote the sport of ultimate disc. I can’t wait to meet our fans, players, and other supporters. I’m ready to catch the Carolina Flyer fever!”

Pauley took the reins as General Manager on January 17th, and has already begun laying the groundwork for innovative fan engagement, sponsorships and nonprofit partners. “We are beyond excited to have Jonathan at the helm and look forward to seeing his ideas and leadership in action this season,” said DeNardis.
