After nearly 21 months spent rehashing the past and wondering about the future, we’re now just 10 days away from actually having new competition. The preseason preparation is almost complete. All 19 U.S. based teams are less than two weeks out from their 2021 openers. And with a massive mix of relief and anticipation, we are right on the precipice of the American Ultimate Disc League’s historic 10th season.

Audi Field To Host 2021 Championship Weekend

The American Ultimate Disc League (AUDL) is thrilled to announce the 2021 AUDL Championship Weekend will be held at Audi Field in Washington, DC on September 10-11. Hosted in partnership with Events DC, all three Championship Weekend games—both semifinal games, as well as the championship game—will feature field-level VIP suites, patio cabanas and an incredible natural grass field.

Just over three weeks away from opening pull of the 2021 season, and I'm here to fill in for Evan Lepler this week as he takes a much deserved vacation before his grueling broadcast slate kicks in. Without belaboring the point, a lot his changed since we last saw action on the field in 2019. So, it's time to take a look at which teams improved the most during the extended offseason leading up to 2021. Teams are listed in alphabetical order. 

Club Team

The Carolina Flyers are in the planning phases for a second successful season of our Flyers club team and development program! This unique team offers high quality playing opportunities with similar levels of coaching as the Flyers AUDL team. There will be weekly practices, scrimmages against local teams, and attendance at USA Ultimate club tournaments. We anticipate starting up again in the summer of 2022.
