Oakland Spiders Announce Open Tryouts for 2024 Season

Oakland, CA—The Oakland Spiders are excited to announce their open tryouts for the upcoming 2024 season. This is a call for athletes who embody the values of community, grit, and joy, and are ready to represent Oakland on the national stage with the Bay Area’s premier professional ultimate disc team,​

Tryout Details:

  • Open Tryout: Sunday, February 4th, 10:30 AM - 2:30 PM at Wilder Field 4, Orinda.
  • First Closed Tryout (Invite Only): Saturday, February 10th, location and time to be announced.
  • Second Closed Tryout (Invite Only): Saturday, February 24th, at Wilder Field 2, Orinda, time to be announced.

The tryouts will be a rigorous evaluation of skills and athleticism, comprising drills, mini-games, full-field scrimmages, and informal interviews with returning players and coaches. The Spiders are seeking players who are not only athletically gifted but also deeply committed to community engagement and sportsmanship.

A registration fee of $75 is required, which includes a Spiders team disc and an exclusive team shirt, covering all tryouts.
