The San Jose Spiders will take on the Dallas Roughnecks for the first time in franchise history this Saturday, July 17 at 6:30pm. The game will be played at Oakland Tech High School.
The Spiders are back in action this weekend after back-to-back bye weeks. Their last game came against the Austin Sol on June 26; the Spiders came out on top 28-23 with their highest single-game point total of the season. This week they’ll face an underperforming Roughnecks team many thought to be the division favorites coming into the season; Dallas has made it to Championship Weekend each of their first four seasons in the league.
The Spiders currently sit at 2-2 in fourth place in the West Division, while the Roughnecks are in third. Depending on how Austin and Dallas fare in their west coast road trips this weekend, a win over Dallas could vault the Spiders into second place in the division, positioning the team for their first playoff berth since 2017. Saturday’s game marks the fourth of a five-game home stand; the Spiders have gone 2-1 in their previous three home games.
Tickets for this game are available at the official team store.
