2021 Players Choice Awards

The inaugural 2021 Players Choice Awards come from a survey sent out to AUDL players selecting a series of individual award recipients (Best Handler, Best Zone Defender, Best Speed, etc.), as well as team awards, in their respective divisions. 169 players from around the league participated; the results are broken down by division.

Chicago Union x 2021 AUDL Awards

It has been four weeks since Championship Weekend took place and not much news in the AUDL atmosphere. Nevertheless, the AUDL announced all the major league awards on Tuesday, October 5th which kept players, coaches, admin, and fans all on their toes. The Chicago Union came up big with nearly a player in every category including a couple of honorable mentions.

There’s no simple way to explain it, but I found selecting this season’s All-AUDL teams to be trickier than past years. Perhaps this was an outlier, though it just might be the new normal.
