Shaggy's Hotbird Huck: Week 12

The Philadelphia Phoenix (5-5) will host the DC Breeze (7-3) in a rematch of a one-point thriller from week two. DC secured a playoff spot with their win over Boston last weekend, and can lock up the two-seed with a victory over Philadelphia this weekend. The Hotbirds' slim shot only exists if they can win this game, which would mean doing something Philly has not done in a very long time: beat DC.

Radicals Go 1-1 on Weekend

The trend of imploding later in the game continued for the Madison Radicals this past weekend.

The breakdown that occurred against the Minnesota Wind Chill was arguably their worst of the year, and it mathematically eliminated Madison from playoff contention. This past Saturday, Minnesota had traveled to Breese Stevens Field for the third game between the two.

Tuesday Toss: Playoffs Coming Into Focus

Week 11 was an exciting, bizarre, and quirky experience. 

There were 11 games, but only 15 different teams took the field because Austin, Boston, Chicago, Madison, Minnesota, Pittsburgh, and Portland all played twice. Among those seven teams, though, only the Glory and Nitro had true road doubleheaders; the other five each had  one apiece at home and on the road.
