The Indianapolis AlleyCats are back at Grand Park this Saturday, June 26 at 8:00pm. They’ll take on the undefeated Chicago Union in a rematch of their Week 1 game at Chicago.
The first meeting of the season between the AlleyCats and Union was fairly one-sided, as the Union defense was able to hold the AlleyCats to just 12 points, their lowest scoring output of the year. It’s the only game this season the ‘Cats have failed to score at least 20 goals; the team has put up goal totals of 30 and 28 in two home games thus far.
Through the first three weeks of the season, the AlleyCats sit at 2-2, tied for third in the Central Division. A primary storyline in each of their meetings this season, including this weekend, will revolve around former AlleyCat Keegan North. North played for the AlleyCats in 2018 and 2019 as a key component of their offensive line. This past offseason, North signed with Chicago and will be active this Saturday against his former team. In their first meeting, he tossed two assists and scored a goal on a perfect 14-of-14 throwing day.
